Of all the Druid clans, the strongest was the goddesses of the MacDara bloodline. More devoted and trained by the warrior goddess. MacDara men and their sons mastered the four relic weapons sword, hammer, shield and spear. No better archers could be found but MacDara females.
Yet the MacDara clan were gifted with the highest honor. That is to guard and protect the blessed Heartstone. This is an ancient relic that contains a special unique energy that made every human’s life special, unique and worth living. To love, hope, evolve and live, without this gift civilization on earth would not be the same. Plus eventually the world would cease to exist. Yet as time went on the meaning of the stone and the lore was forgotten, lost in the circle of time and the mist. Though not forgotten by all existing by the Druid clans.
The MacDara descendents know exactly the cost. As in the tenth century they were brutally attacked and knows what it nearly cost their existence! Yet the three goddesses save Alec MacDara, his three brothers, his parents, younger sister and bring them to North Carolina in the twenty-first century . The MacDara’s will protect the blessed stone at any cost. As they know they must thrive and never cease to exist! No matter what century the goddesses place them in to save and protect.

Grant MacDara still misses his home and grieving his lost love and unborn child in tenth century Scotland. His heart is so shattered he swears never to be pawn for the Goddesses again. As they were the ones to refuse his marriage and blessing to Leannan in the tenth century. So why should he help them when they wouldnt give him the one thing he wanted most in this world? Yet you can’t fight destiny and time does usually heal all wounds. Does it not?
There is now another woman Joanna Martin whom he wants. The problem is she too has been hurt by men in her past and has major trust issues. She is nothing like Leannan but he wants her badly just the same. The problem is she wants nothing to do with this handsome highlander. She just is focussed on her career and cannot chance to have her heart broke can she?
A fun fast paced delightful read that has some absolutely hilarious characters too! This is the second book in Maeve Greyson’s Highland Protector serie.
I highly recommend you read if you are a fan of second chances at love. A beautiful, enchanting, paranormal, time-travel romance.
