The hero of this novel is Lucas Grant and his clan is in dire financial straits. Lucas older brother William, is the Laird and basically orders him to marry a Moira MacNaughton, a rich heiress to save the clan.
This is a woman neither Lucas nor Laird William Grant has ever even met. Lucas feels heiresses and titled women are cold in bed as this is what they are taught by their female kin. He would rather marry a servant like a lady’s maid or crofers daughter. As these women are much more enthusiastic in bedsport. Once Lucas meets the spoiled and mean spirited Moira MacNaughton. Although she is beautiful and shows her interest in Lucas, she is an uncaring, uncharitable bully on the inside. He knows he could never be tied to this cruel thoughtless inconsiderate noblewoman for the rest of his life! On his way back he finds a Lass Ailsa MacLennon in dire straits. She is being held by six men obviously a noblewoman. They have abducted Ailsa for a ransom from her wealthy clan after drugging her at the Michaelmas festival in Edinburgh.
Lucas feels guilty knowing this lass is the answer to his clans financial problems. In reality he is know better then the Clan that abducted her as he plans to do the same. The problem is this thing called love gets in the way!
Will Ailsa ever forgive this wolf in sheep's clothing for misleading her and twisting the truth? As Lucas is no better that the clan that drugged and abducted her in many ways. Of course he would never allow anyone to harm this lovely feisty lass. Plus the fact this lass has captured his tender heart which will cause so many issues in her ransom. Will Ailsa ever forgive this wolf in sheep's clothing? The readers will be the judge of that.
You must read this fascinating novel to find out the ending result which I absolutely loved!
Ceci Giltenan does it again and pens another beautiful novel I could not put down! This is the second book in the Duncurra Legacy series which has all the elements romance readers love. It is brilliantly written without the need for graphic love scenes. Only a great writer can pen a book in this way making the reader not feeling they are missing out on something. Again it is a remarkable, action, packed novel, showing how strong the power of love truly is! This book also made me laugh at so many parts-a total delight to read. This is definitely a book you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend “A Wee Highland Predicament” by Ceci Giltenan.
