Eons ago...

The MacDara’s will protect the blessed stone at any cost. As they know they must thrive and never cease to exist! No matter what century the goddesses place them in to save and protect.

Grant MacDara still misses his home and grieving his lost love and unborn child in tenth century Scotland. His heart is so shattered he swears never to be pawn for the Goddesses again. As they were the ones to refuse his marriage and blessing to Leannan in the tenth century. So why should he help them when they wouldnt give him the one thing he wanted most in this world? Yet you can’t fight destiny and time does usually heal all wounds. Does it not?

There is now another woman Joanna Martin whom he wants. The problem is she too has been hurt by men in her past and has major trust issues. She is nothing like Leannan but he wants her badly just the same. The problem is she wants nothing to do with this handsome highlander. She just is focussed on her career and cannot chance to have her heart broke can she?

A fun fast paced delightful read that has some absolutely hilarious characters too! This is the second book in Maeve Greyson’s Highland Protector serie. 

I highly recommend you read if you are a fan of second chances at love.  A beautiful, enchanting, paranormal, time-travel romance.

Scotland, Present Day 2018
and 1605

Kenzie Jacobs of present day in the 21st century, has inherited the power to time-travel from the future to the past. She has always been obsessed with a portrait that hangs in her ancestral home in Scotland. It is of Black Ben, Laird of Ross of the 17th century. He seems to of disappeared after a fire in her ancestral home, yet no record of  his death anywhere. Kenzie would love to solve this mystery, besides seeing the changes of her ancestral home, four hundred years prior to her current time in the 21st century. She is also suspicious of Black Ben’s disappearance with no record of him in history. In addition there is no history of his family lineage and his castle did not survive. It is basically a crumbling mess in pieces. This is the mystery Kenzie wants to solve though she suspects foul play - believing Black Ben was murdered.

A few months after she times travels to Scotland in 1605 where she meets Gwen and Braxton Maclead, her great-great-great too many to count grandparents! It os hilarious as Kenzie is actually older then her ancesters when they meet face to face in 1605.


Black Ben, Laird of Ross is in a horrible state wasting his life away. He left his keep not able to see the looks of sadness and sympathy from his clan. As his young wife died from complications from childbirth. After she had delivered him a healthy son, Black Ben is living with guilt as he never even loved his wife not that she loved him either. So he is basically drinking at this inn which is more of a cheap dirty whorehouse. He is ashamed of his current condition, but not ready to return home yet.

Now it defintley was not love at first sight when they first meet. As Black Ben is a total mess with bad breath, unbathed as his body order stinks to high heaven and his hair is unkept and matted! A big disappointment. Than he gets a high a fever, and nearly dies. Luckily Kenzie brought some of her 21st century medicines with her that saved Black Ben’s life. Though Kenzie has had a crush on Black Ben since seeing his portrait as a young girl. Now once he was bathed and clean he was absolutely drool worthy from top to bottom! His bulging biceps, dark silky long tresses, sensuous smile and sexy scottish brogue. Kenzie kept telling herself as did Ben that no feelings could surface or it would rip her heart out. Ben was trying to get over a wife's death he never loved, he knew Kenzie was everything he wanted in a woman. Would he ever be able to let her go? Or would it be heartbreak and devastation, once this 21st century beauty returned to her own time?

This is the second book is the face paced riveting A Times Travelers Love Series. The setting is beautiful, dialogue is amazing, plotting is brilliant and the characters phenomenal. It is filled with adventure, mystery, paranormal, time-travel, suspense, betrayal, devastation, treachery, sorrow, heartbreak, faith, joy, love and so much more. A book readers can easily read as a stand alone novel or in series order. As there are characters - from the first book in this series making appearances too. I have read both spectacular books where the author Tamara Gill juat blew me away! Bravo!

I absolutely highly recommend the spectacular book! A novel Scottish Historical Time-Travel readers don't want to miss.

Scottish Border-summer, 1388

Sorcha is searching the battlefield with her cousin Margaret for her brother Dougal. She can’t find her brother but finds two other Scottish soldiers. Ruari and Beetham Kerr. Ruari is near death and Beetham has a wound he would survive from. Neither is in any shape to fight off the grave robbers who will steal and murder. This way no one can inform the authority of their stealing from the dead and wounded. 

Margaret finds out her brother was taken by the English and asking for a ransom. The problem is her clan has no money. Now the Kerr clan on the other hand is very wealthy. So she saves both their lives and then tells them she is holding them for ransom. Well only to get her brother back. Ruari is furious and plans on revenge but that is after he has his wicked way with the scottish beauty Sorcha!

There are also some fun paranormal elements in this read. It's a light hearted fun read. I enjoyed it very much from start to finish. I highly recommend My Lady Captor by Hannah Howell.

This book’s heroine is Lady Elizabet Harding, she takes her horse out in a thunderstorm. Due to being upset to her families forcing an unwanted marriage on her. In addition, mounting pressure on her to save her family from financial ruin. Basically selling her to the highest bidder! Her father Lord Dawsey is dishonest and °unscrupulous, her cold, unfeeling mother is forcing an unwanted match on her to Fergus Ramsay/Campbell. A man she does not want and is suspicious since she has no dowry to speak of. That is due to Highland Highwaymen  one who steals from the rich and gives to the poor. A real life Robin Hood!Then just as she was about to be thrown by her horse in this bad thunderstorm, she is saved by the notorious Highlander Highwayman himself!

Laird John MacGregor, whose nickname is Jack. By day he is good friend of King Charles II. At night he is the Highland Highwayman. A man who has wanted to get vengeance against Fergus Campbell for his brothers death several years back.  He blames both Fergus and feels Lord Dawsey is also possibly involved with their smuggling operation. They have done wrong to many which have costed many deaths. All John needs is proof to show their involvement for their many illegal misdeeds!

Now falling for his enemies daughter was not in the plans. He won't show his face, but to Elizabet he is a savior, gentlemen, charming, and makes her feels things she shouldn't be feeling. He is a gentleman thief where he never harms anyone.  

Soon the past catches up with them and they have to make heartbreaking choices. As noone wants these two star crossed lovers together! I loved the wee tease about the third upcoming book in this series. It looks like the next romance is between Lady Alice Chivers and Phillip MacGregory. I can't wait read it. 

Such a delightful, awe-inspiring, exhilarating, heartwarming, page turning story! I could not put this captivating book down. The swoon worthy hero was absolutely highland hotness. The heroine was feisty, independent and sassy. I absolutely loved this entertaining book. The setting, plot pacing, characters were all absolutely brilliant!

This is the second book in the fabulous The MacGregor Lairds series. You can also definitely read as stand alone book too. If looking for a drool-worthy, emotional, heart-warming story “How To Ensnare a Highlander” is definitely one I highly recommend!

Due to two Kings fighting for supremacy of power over the isles and western Scotland. Sadly Hanna’s family gets caught in the crossfire and pay with their lives for it! This turns Hanna’s warm heart into a block of ice! Now she only wants vengeance to make those suffer and pay who are responsible for murdering her husband and children and stealing any type of future happiness she might of had. 

The heroine of this story is Hanna of Hällstein, who vows revenge to those who took and destroyed her perfect life! This includes everyone and everything she ever loved. She is now completely alone, revenge is the only satisfaction she will ever feel for the deaths of her entire family!

 Laird Alex MacLean is the hero of this story. He is the one Hanna is plotting to pay him back with death and destruction as was done to her. It’s time to payback and avenge her loved ones for their untimely and premature deaths! An for an eye. Yet she does not realize this Laird is living with heartache of his own. As he is a widow and have lost the lives of several children. Plus his daughter a child Hanna saves reminds Hanna of her own deceased child, not to mention the connection she feels to her father! Now she truly torn what to do, continue on her plan of vengeance or take a chance on love?

A beautiful riveting romantic emotional adventure from start to finish. Have the Kleenex ready,  as any animal lover will love this story too. I highly recommend it. I absolutely adored this novella!

This is the fourth book in the series and followers of the series will revisit beloved characters. Readers can read this as a stand alone book as well. So either way is a win/win. I highly recommend THE HIGHLANDERS Norse Bride, A Novella by Cathy & DD MacRae.

Isobel Dounreay Lochlannach the heroine of this story is no fan of the English! Especially those of nobility and has no intention of marrying one that’s for sure. Than one day on her trip to London she bumps into the most swoon worthy stable lad. She meets this handsome man whom she thinks is a stable lad by his wardrobe and speech. Well in fact he is Viscount Nick Wyeth, the hero of this tale, plus heir to one of the wealthiest domains in England. Nick, also from first meeting does not believe she’s a Scottish heiress. He assumes from her spitfire actions, beautiful, Isobel to be a maid. Someone he can have a casual dalliance with! As it turns out he quickly finds out whom Isobel and her family connections are. If anyone found out they kissed they would be forced to be married immediately! Something neither wants especially Isobel yet he also knows he wants this Scottish beauty to call his own!

As Isobel’s family are hoping to find she and Catriona a match this season. Something Isobel dreads, she loves her Scottish country more than anything. The last thing she would want is an English nobleman for a bloody husband! Nick soon finds out that Isabel's family have whisked her away before seeing him again! So he is left with one choice and one choice alone and that’s to go after her!

Even though Nick has only met Isobel briefly he is obsessed and needs to see her again. He plans on turning her head and opinion on Englishmen.  Can he sway his stubborn, opinionated spitfire? 

You must read this fabulous story it is absolutely breathtaking. If you are like me and a huge fan of the (Untamed Highlander) series you will especially love this heroine. As it is none of other than the five year old girl all grown up now from “Susana and the Scot”” the second book of this phenomenal series. You can easily read this as a stand alone book too. It is totally brilliant!

Beautiful setting,  breathtaking dialogue and phenomenal plot lines was absolutely magnificent! A fast page riveting adventure filled with star crossed lovers, 

mystery, supsense, steamy passion, love and more! All the element historical romance readers love! I could not put this book down!

I absolutely loved this story and can’t recommend it enough!

The hero of this novel is Aulay Mackenzie and the heroine is Lottie Livingstone. The Highland Grooms centers around The Mackenzie brothers. This one centers on Aulay Mackenzie. This brother has been quietly mentioned I the previous novels in the series. Though we do not know much about him so you can read this in series order or as a stand alone book. Either way the reader will love this fabulous novel!

Lottie and her family are in dire financial straits! As they are in debts and owe money to many of their creditors . Her father nonchalantly ignores this as if this was not a tremendous weight on their clans shoulders and livelihood! Now her father is badly wounded and their ship is sinking! So now she and her clan must smuggle a shipload of illegal whiskey to survive or face her Clans exile or worse! Her alternative would be to form an alliance with a wealthy clan. Not unusual for a chiefs daughter,but Lottie is not ready to throw down the gauntlet just yet! She would do it as a last resort, for the people and island she loves! As her Clan’s  survival means everything to Lottie! 

Meanwhile her ship is sinking so she and her clan devise a plan to get another ship. Of course this is only temporary as she means to return the ship after her smuggling business is finished. Once she can pay off her creditors.

Aulay Mackenzie is furious as he had been trying to do the honorable thing and rescue a ship in need! Never did he think such a beautiful woman would would double cross and deceive him. He is totally humiliated that a woman did this to him. Now he is devising a plan to get his sweet revenge! The the problem is the more he gets to know the lovely Lottie the less he wants to strike back! As he has never been attracted to a woman the way he is to Lottie. Could this be love and now what is Aulay supposed to do?

Another beautiful awe-inspiring book in the spectacular Highland Grooms series. It is filled with quick paced riveting emotional adventure, mystery, suspense,  lovable characters, star crossed romantic passion and so much more. 

If you love your heroes Scottish, honorable and swoon worthy you definitely don't want to miss it! Beautiful Highland settings, wonderful dialogue,  amazing characters with twisting and turning plots that carry you away! A definite must read  for Scottish historical readers who love their heroes braw kilted honorable and sizzling hot! 

I have loved every book in the Highland Grooms series! I can’t wait Tempting the Laird book #5 coming in June. This is Caitriona Mackenzie’s story. This novel centers on a mysterious Duke, who is attached with rumours of fear and murder to him! He is also a bit of a libertine if the rumors again are true. Definitely one you don’t want to miss! Another drool worthy story I can’t wait to read!

The hero of this novel is Lucas Grant and his clan is in dire financial straits. Lucas older brother William, is the Laird and basically orders him to marry a Moira MacNaughton, a rich heiress to save the clan. 

This is a woman neither Lucas nor Laird William Grant has ever even met. Lucas feels heiresses and titled women are cold in bed as this is what they are taught by their female kin. He would rather marry a servant like a lady’s maid or crofers daughter. As these women are much more enthusiastic in bedsport. Once Lucas meets the spoiled and mean spirited Moira MacNaughton. Although she is beautiful and shows her interest in Lucas, she is an uncaring, uncharitable bully on the inside. He knows he could never be tied to this cruel thoughtless  inconsiderate noblewoman for the rest of his life! On his way back he finds a Lass Ailsa MacLennon in dire straits. She is being held by six men obviously a noblewoman. They have abducted Ailsa  for a ransom from her wealthy clan after drugging her at the Michaelmas festival in Edinburgh. 

Lucas feels guilty knowing this lass is the answer to his clans financial problems. In reality he is know better then the Clan that abducted her as he plans to do the same. The problem is this thing called love gets in the way!

Will Ailsa ever forgive this wolf  in sheep's clothing for misleading her and twisting the truth? As Lucas is no better that the clan that drugged and abducted her in many ways. Of course he would never allow anyone to harm this lovely feisty lass. Plus the fact this lass has captured his tender heart which will cause so many issues in her ransom. Will Ailsa ever forgive this wolf in sheep's clothing? The readers will be the judge of that.

You must read this fascinating novel to find out the ending result which I absolutely loved!

Ceci Giltenan does it again and pens another beautiful novel I could not put down! This is the second book in the Duncurra Legacy series which has all the elements romance readers love. It is brilliantly written without the need for graphic love scenes. Only a great writer can pen a book in this way making the reader not feeling they are missing out on something. Again it is a remarkable, action, packed novel, showing how strong the power of love truly is! This book also made me laugh at so many parts-a total delight to read. This is definitely a book you don’t want to miss. I highly recommend “A Wee Highland Predicament” by Ceci Giltenan.
